There’s a scene in the movie Knocked Up, one of this year’s blockbuster romantic comedies, where the male main character and his girlfriend’s brother were in a hotel room in Las Vegas. Both were high from taking some magic mushrooms, and they were understandably acting very strangely. In this particular scene, the focus of their attention is the variety of chairs in their hotel room. They lined them all up and had an interesting dialogue about them.
I wonder what they would’ve had to say about the Bottega Armchair if it had been included. It’s a very new chair, introduced only this year by Italian designers Renzo Fauciglietti and Graziella Bianchi. Though I think they would look good in a hotel room, they can be used in other settings too. Perhaps in the hotel lobby or restaurant, or paired with bistro dining tables.
It’s as sturdy as it is luxurious. The steel frame, including the back and the tapered legs, is covered with polyurethane foam, which is in turn covered by hand-sewn split-grain leather. One of the reasons the Bottega Armchair is suitable for hospitality settings is because of its low maintenance requirements: the leather is resistant to stains; no need for time-consuming cleaning methods. Maybe just give it a quick wiping and dusting and it’s good to go for the next customer.
This arm chair measures 37 inches high, 24 inches wide, and 21.5 inches deep. Its seat height is 18 inches while arm height is 24.5 inches. It is available in several colors: black, tan, ivory, chocolate, and russian. (I didn’t know until now that russian is also a color.)
The Bottega Armchair is a follow up to the wildly successful Bottega Side Chair, which was launched in 2003. A Bottega Stool completes this collection, a collection recognized for its combination of durability and luxury.
