In general, I am a fan of buying stuff that is built to last. I have some beautiful living room furniture that I spent years acquiring. I have an Italian leather sofa and a coffee table made out of solid oak that catches the eye of almost every single person who comes into the room. With kids furniture, however, I take a different attitude altogether. Kids grow up so fast that there is no point in paying an arm and a leg for something that they will not be able to use in another 9 months.
